I am directed by the Marquess Curzon of Kedleston to transmit to you herewith a copy of a note from the Danish Chargé d'Affaires No.307/V of the 4th instant, together with its enclosures in original, requesting the release of certain monies deposited by a Kr. Thomas Frederik Petersen in 1914 with the Hong Kong-Shanghai Savings Bank, which were sequestered by His Majesty's Government at the outbreak of the war.
2. His Lordship would be glad to receive the observations of the Colonial Office as to the reply which should be returned to the Danish Chargé d'Affaires.

I am to request that Mr. Petersen's certificate of Nationality may be returned in due course.
